I hold a Master’s Degree in International Relations (Security and Diplomacy) from the University of Naples Federico II and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from the American University of Science and Technology. My academic background has provided me with strong foundational knowledge in history, international law, diplomacy, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution, all of which I aim to bring into the classroom.
I have extensive experience in research and analysis, and my passion for history has driven me to explore topics such as the Kurdistan Region and the Middle East. My senior project, “New Partition of the Middle East: Establishing the State of Kurdistan,” involved conducting interviews and historical research to propose solutions for Kurdish independence. Additionally, I applied Plato’s Allegory of the Cave in a project on prison rehabilitation, which ties historical philosophy to contemporary issues, showing my ability to connect past events with current societal structures.
Professionally, I have worked as a research assistant and team leader at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (AUB), where I led teams analyzing voter turnout data in Lebanon, explored historical voting patterns, and contributed to organizing events. My work required strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings in clear, structured reports, skills I can transfer to teaching history in a classroom environment.
I am also currently interning with AIFED in Granada, Spain, focusing on writing articles related to global events and preparing debates, which has further developed my communication and presentation skills, key components in teaching.
I am fluent in Arabic (native) and English (C2), with intermediate proficiency in Italian (B1), which enables me to connect with diverse student groups. My technical skills include proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva, tools that will assist in creating engaging lesson plans and presentations.
I am passionate about history, global events, and social issues, and I look forward to applying my knowledge and skills in teaching history to inspire and engage students in understanding the past to shape a better future.
