Biology to school level students and anyone interested in learning basics of Bioinformatics

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Ananta Kapoor and I have completed master’s in Bioinformatics from Banaras Hindu University. I did my bachelor’s in Chemistry and Vocational Biotechnology from Fergusson College, Pune University. I am an NCC (National Cadet Core) C Certificate holder. I have also passed the A1 Level German exam from Goethe Institute, Pune. I also have some knowledge of basic statistics as I have completed two NPTEL SWAYAM courses. My dissertation “Electronic Structure Calculations of
Piperine” allowed me to learn Gaussian09 and OriginPro software. I also recently attended a workshop at IIT BHU on “Computer Aided Drug Design and Structural Bioinformatics”. I am currently working on a DESEQ2 NGS project in Pune University and will be working on DNA Methylation as well.
I will do a PhD and would work in the field of medical Bioinformatics, public health or epidemiology. To prepare for this endeavour I strongly believe that strengthening Biology concepts would be extremely helpful. I am also preparing for an entrance exam. The Feynman technique works very well for me and hence I am confident I will be able to positively contribute to this endeavour. Learning for someone else also and explaining is a great method to understand concepts and memorise them. Learning Biology to teach and teaching Biology to learn. This is what I am trying to do. Topics- cell and molecular Biology, evolution, ecology, genetics, immunology and some more at GCSE and A level. Also ready to delve into basics of Bioinformatics for anyone who is interested in that line.
Hence, I firmly believe this is the right position for me right now.
