After au pairing in England for one year I got the CAE (certificate in advanced English) then I had some teaching experience in schools (1 year and a half to be more precise) and online with young learners and adults by doing the CELTA course! After getting this certificate I changed the way I used to teach and let the students be the centre of their own learning process so I tend to include a lot of student-centred moments in class and be like a coach instead of someone who gives the rules and answers. It will stick better if I succeed in eliciting the meaning from you!
