I prefer a low-pressure conversational style of teaching and learning.

I have a diverse professional background including journalism, government and law enforcement, highlighted by strong communication skills. I have lived all over the US, including in some of the most diverse areas including Southern California, Houston, Texas and Florida. I have worked with learners from Thailand, China, Costa Rica, Mexico, Columbia and Russia. As of August 2025 I will be residing full-time in Mexico and will maintain a flexible teaching schedule.

Instead of vocabulary drills, I focus on fluency of pronunciation and comfortable verbal interaction.

My students will be comfortable interacting with me because it is not a test environment. Perfection is not the goal, openness to learning and willingness to make mistakes is. Once students have reached that point, then there is no limit on their learning.
