Hello!
My name is Adriana García. I have been a teacher for more than 10 years already. During this time, I have worked in all school levels teacher English or French. I majored in education and have both certificates Trinity Cambridge for English and DELF for French. I have been teaching "regular classes" where we focus in all the skills, classes to prepare students for a certain certifica, conversaton, debate, and projects based in real life scenarios.
The methodology and strategies I implement, are always depending on the student's age, interest and levels.
I firmly believe in always planning the lessons finding a balance between all skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening), having them all divided in related steps.
We could adapt the content according to your needs and objectives.
For regular sessions we should start with some background questions and vocabulary, in order to get you related to the topic. I like to find a video and / or audio we can use as a base and breaking point. Afterwards, we would relate the topic with a grammar practice, for this I like to let students discover how the structures and formulas work.
We would end the session with a final product where the student can relate all skills, vocabulary, structures and real life situation that we have been working with. Bringing the practice to a real life scenario would make it more meaningful for everybody.
Something I also think is very important is to include cultural aspects of the countries where the language we are practicing is from, creating an immersive environment, because at the end it is a must to try to understand the other culture and to learn about the country's customs.
I am very eager to help students develop their skills in English so they have the opportunity to achieve their objectives and experience new adventures abroad.
