Artist, Scientist, Teacher, professor, school leader, community builder, special educator. 15 years of experience teaching humanities, social sciences, and arts for grades 8-12, at the early-college and college levels, and as the principal of an independent, non-profit school.

I have proven experience as a self-directed educational leader creating, fostering, representing, and advocating for my community. I have been recognized for using language to effectively and engagingly convey learning objectives to students, during the admissions process, and to advocate for my school community.

My strategy for engaging all learners has always been to approach each student genuinely, recognizing their identity and showing them the patterns of relationality that surround them. I offer maximum student voice and choice. I am a believer in project-based learning and involving students in all aspects of planning their curriculum. School should be a place students have a hand in shaping and they get to come to, not a place made by adults and imagined on their behalf without their involvement.
