Carmen Quaglia

Well, I’m Carmen, 28 years old and extremely excited about languages. I’ve been a private English and Italian tutor in my city for 6 years already. Since I’m also a translator and interpreter, it’s easy to guess that I have a passion for languages.

If you are interested in some details and numbers, I can tell you that I graduated in Languages and Literature in 2020 (M.A.), in Translation and Interpreting in 2018 (M.A.), and in Linguistic Mediation in 2016 (B.A.). I have a High School Diploma in Tourism and I’m currently attending a TEFL/TESOL online course as I thrive on challenges and constantly set goals for myself.

I have a steady source of motivation that drives me to do my best. I am highly organized, and I use a series of tools to help myself stay on top of deadlines. I’m also a people-person, I love meeting new people and learning about their lives and their backgrounds.

People say that I am a great listener and communicator in general, I’ve always struggled to find my place in life and I found my way when I gained confidence in my abilities and awareness of who I am and the kind of person I want to be. Empathy is my ace in the sleeve and the passion for my profession is undoubtedly one of my greatest strengths.

Basic Course
We will start with the grammar building blocks and, as you gain awareness of the language, move on to listening, reading and speaking. We will explore language and culture together, and there will be no shortage of useful tips and tidbits about everyday language. The focus? Make you gain independence and confidence with language you love!

Advanced Course
After a short break on getting started, we will move on to strengthening and improving your level until you gain complete fluency. We will range on content from culture to literature to everyday spoken language. The goal? Being independent in the language you like the most!

Expert Course
You can only improve! So together we will do lots and lots of practice to make you confident and fluent. We will cover many topics together and I will help you if you need to go deeper into a specific language, such as medical, tourist, or legal. I'll be waiting for you!
