Hi, I’m Caterina! I teach English and Italian, and I’ve spent over 20 years helping adults, university students and professionals feel more confident using a foreign language.
I’m a native Italian speaker with C2 English and a Cambridge CELTA qualification. Over the years, I’ve worked with people from many different backgrounds, including engineers, business executives and military officers. This experience has taught me to adapt my lessons to each person’s needs, interests and pace.
Our first lesson is a chance to get to know each other. We’ll talk about your goals, your previous learning experience and the situations you find most challenging. From there, I’ll plan lessons around what you want to achieve, whether that’s joining conversations more easily, preparing for an interview, taking part in meetings or settling into life in Italy.
You can expect plenty of speaking practice, clear explanations and practical activities. We might discuss an article, practise a workplace conversation or work on vocabulary and pronunciation using a topic that interests you. Grammar is part of the process, but we’ll always connect it to language you can actually use.
During our lessons, I’ll give you constructive feedback and help you understand recurring mistakes, while leaving you space to speak and develop your fluency.
My aim is to make lessons useful, engaging and encouraging. Whether you’re refreshing your skills or working towards a specific professional goal, we’ll build on what you already know and help you communicate with greater ease and independence.
