Since I was a child, curiosity characterized my personality. Growing up, I had the big chance to fulfill this prominent trait of my nature by studying biology at the university.
During those five years I took the advantage of feeding both my scientific knowledge as well as my humanistic and empathic trait by travelling for study, for research experiences and volunteering. Discovering new cultures, trying each time to mingle in the society, challenging myself in very different socio-cultural context while practising in the research field, has been of great impact to understand that I want to continue to nourish all these characteristics of my temperament also by teaching and influence the world by the passion I have in the field of biology.
From Spain, passing through Greece, up to Tanzania, I understood that knowledge doesn’t only mean theorethical study, but has a more complex meaning that gets along with diplomacy, aid, economy, co-working between people and between institutions, communication skills and culture.
For these reasons, the prismatism of biology needs to fit in a teaching method!
Through my latest experience I gained a lot of knowledge that I wouldn’t have without spending those months alone in Tanzania, living six months in Greece and other six in Spain. I had to be ready to overcome some challenges or changes also for what concerns learning in University, adapting my studying method differently in each contest.
This different application methods I learnt during my studies in Italy, mixed to the ones I learnt abroad, revealed my teaching method that is not only about gaining theorethical knowledge in one field but, thank to its application in different contest, being practically involved in the subject.
