Ho studiato turco, arabo e greco moderno all'università molti anni fa, poi ho iniziato a viaggiare e ho trascorso 20 anni all'estero, imparando nel frattempo inglese, spagnolo e tedesco: so molto bene quanto possa essere impegnativo imparare una nuova lingua. Ma allo stesso tempo so quanto possa essere emozionante e gratificante riuscire finalmente a gestire una conversazione con un madrelingua della lingua che si sta imparando! Ora sono un'insegnante della rete SAI, il Sistema di Accoglienza Nazionale per Rifugiati e Richiedenti Asilo in Italia: mi vedo come un facilitatore, il mio lavoro è guidare e aiutare i miei studenti durante questo percorso di apprendimento, offrendo la mia conoscenza, la mia esperienza e gli strumenti che ho sviluppato finora. La chiave per imparare una lingua è un buon piano d'azione, determinazione e pazienza: i risultati arriverano!/I studied Turkish, Arabic, and Modern Greek at the University many years ago, then I began traveling and spent 20 years abroad, learning English, Spanish, and German along the way. I know how challenging learning a new language can be. But at the same time, I know how exciting and rewarding it can be to finally manage a conversation with a native speaker of your target language! I'm now a teacher for the SAI network, the National Reception System for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Italy. I see myself as a facilitator; my job is to guide and support my students on their learning journey, offering my knowledge, experience, and the tools I've developed so far. The key to learning a language is a good plan, determination, and patience: the results are bound to come!
