Federica Lippolis

I am very interested in experiencing the Italian teaching because I have a passion for helping people achieve their goals and above all I am passionate for teaching language and culture. I can easily communicate with people, and I have a positive attitude towards any kind of challenges. I really enjoy helping people better communicate in order to help them reach new possibilities. With the combination of a personalized learning method and my positive and well-organized attitude I can easily increase the students’ confidence and lead them towards new opportunities.
On December 2019, I graduated at La Sapienza University of Rome in Chinese studies and on November 2021 I enrolled on a Master’s degree in Chinese studies at the same university. During my studies I have obtained 12 university credits in foreign language didactics, 6 in linguistics and 12 in glottology. These exams have been important for my educational development because I have better understood how languages work and I had the chance to analyze different learning processes and didactic teaching methods.
Since my early age, I have always been passionate about foreign languages and cultures, in fact I did several exchange projects in France, Belgium and USA where I lived for a whole year. Moreover, since 2018, I have got closer to education and foreign language didactics because I have spent a month in China as an AuPair where I had my first teaching job experience. Being an English teacher for my two host brothers (6 and 9 years old) has been very challenging as I had to teach them a very different language in a playful way. This was a great chance to increase my personal skills and also to have a pedagogical experience with minors.
While doing my studies, I periodically worked in different sectors like group leading, counseling, customer care, promoting, events, volunteering and also manual work. Exploring different sectors helped me develop various skills which contributed to build the person I am. I am goal oriented and proactive in fact new experiences are very welcomed on my path.
On February 2021 I started to work as career counselor in the field of EU labour market policies. My tasks were to support young people who were looking for a work opportunity or for educational experiences, encourage them to get the best out of themselves, help them find their real interests and finally assist them in enrolling in education courses or traineeships. This job position required a certain level of empathy, listening capacity, positive and motivational approach in the counseling process.
This summer I worked as course leader for EF company, and I brought high school students to Spain and Malta. My duties were group management, student briefing, record keeping, planning the schedule with my co-leaders, be their role model, provide excellent customer service, care about customers’ needs and of course offer them the best experience of their life.
