Flavio Piantoni

When I had finished my complementary harmonic studies, my professional career took off in the mid-seventies; I traveled around the world getting a rich experience from the different musical cultures I got in touch with.

In 1984 I arrived in Maurizio Vandellis studio.
We had a long discographical collaboration that lead to several successful records.
From here I toured with some of the most wellknown artists in Italy like: Anna Oxa, Teresa De Sio, Trancendental, Alessandro Bono, Sabrina, Cristian, Patty Prao, New Trolls with whom I went to Sanremo Festival 1992.

Through these years of profitable collaborations I never left my great love for fusion.
I decided to form different bands like: Trio Electrico, P.R.P Band and to play with: Claudio “Wally” Allifranchini, Gigi Ciffarelli, Mario Rosini, Filippo Rodolfi, Marco Detto, Lorenzo De Finti, Simone Lisino, Giorgio Di Tulio, Marco Cortesi, Lorenzo Erra, Frank Salis H3O, Joe Colombo
Dany Martinez, Renato Pompilio, Max Pizio, Frank Salis H3O,, Markelian Kapidani and more.

The passion for this kind of music took me to Denmark where I, apart from studying arrangement for Big Bands, had the opportunity to know and later to play with artists such as: Svend Skipper, Gert Mortensen, Marco Spallanzani, Wanja Santos, Bjarne Roupé (guit. in “Aura” di Miles Davis) Morten Steen, Lars Levant, Troels Skovgaard, together with Troels I created a band called Danish Dynamite. In October 96 we went on tour in Europe as well as in Italy with great success.

Besides the concerts and tours, I very much like to teach, privately and in schools more or less important such as: CPM in Milan.
