Canadian-born and bred, I am an experienced educator with 35 years in English Language Teaching (ELT), specializing in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). My teaching career has taken me across nine countries, including Greece, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, China, Timor-Leste, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, where I’ve worked with diverse age groups and proficiency levels.

Since September 2025, I have also been developing English Language coursebook materials for a prominent publishing house in Athens, Greece, expanding my expertise into educational content creation.

Fluent in English and Greek, I excel at helping learners overcome linguistic barriers, tailoring instruction to individual needs. I’ve prepared students for high-stakes exams, such as Cambridge assessments, where I’ve served as a standardized oral examiner, and IELTS, as an inactive examiner for Speaking and Writing. These roles sharpened my skills in guiding learners to excel academically and professionally.

In addition to teaching, I have five years of experience as an Academic Coordinator in international settings. Leading programs for young learners and adults, I managed teams of up to 12 educators, designed curricula, and facilitated professional development. This leadership role allowed me to mentor teachers and foster collaborative environments where students and staff could thrive.

Cultural adaptability and inclusivity are at the heart of my teaching philosophy. Having lived and worked in diverse cultural contexts, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for global perspectives and the unique challenges students face in acquiring a new language. I integrate modern teaching methodologies, including technology and project-based learning, to make lessons engaging and impactful.
