Liam Voorma

Hi! I’m Liam, a native English-speaking teacher with a background in Linguistics and Journalism, a TEFL qualification, and 3 years of experience teaching English to students of different ages and levels.

Whether you’re starting English from the beginning, preparing for an exam, improving your professional English, or simply want to feel more confident speaking, I can help you reach your goals.

My lessons are relaxed, practical and adapted to you. I don’t believe that learning English should mean simply memorising grammar rules or completing endless exercises. Instead, I encourage students to actively use English through conversation, real-life situations, vocabulary and engaging activities. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes because mistakes are an important part of learning.

For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation and making English feel less intimidating. For intermediate and advanced students, I focus on improving fluency, pronunciation, accuracy, vocabulary and natural expression. I can also help with Cambridge exams, Business English, conversational English and English for children.

My background in Journalism has given me a strong understanding of language, communication and writing, while my teaching experience has taught me how to adapt my approach to different learners.

Join me and we’ll work together at your pace, focus on what you actually need, and build your confidence one conversation at a time. I’ll make sure every lesson has a clear purpose while keeping it enjoyable, encouraging and relevant to your everyday life and goals. Langauge has always been my passion and I am excited to be on this journey with you!
