Marilea

My name is Marilea from Padua, I am 24 years old and in October 2024 I completed my Master's degree in Innovation and Technology Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, in Milan. The field I chose offers a broad learning experience, according to the most popular international standards, in Computer Science, Law, Business and Global Issues, delivered entirely in English. 5 days after graduation I began my journey in a Consulting firm (Deloitte), where I am personally in charge of RPA Technology management, as well as overseeing a Product discontinuation process in the field of MedTech for a global client.
I have a great thirst for knowledge, and have actively sought opportunities to satisfy the latter, and thus improve, through every scenario my parents have given me the chance to participate in. When I was 14, I participated in NHSMUN, which stands for National High School Model United Nations, the world's largest simulation of the United Nations (held in New York City) for high school students, in which participants debate resolutions regarding various global issues in the interest of the country they represent. I lived in Italy until I was 15, then moved independently to the city of Boston, thanks to a couple of merit scholarships that reflected on my academic achievements, so I stayed in Massachusetts’ capital for my junior and senior years of high school. After that, I returned to Italy to get my diploma, and I completed my studies with honors.
These experiences have led me to become a highly emotionally intelligent individual, as I am able to connect and convey an emotional response to a specific activity by dressing in someone else's shoes. In addition, I have been able to develop my creative thinking skills by finding solutions to unexpected events and providing original and innovative ways to solve them.
I have studied English as a second language since I was 6 years old and have been certified as a C1-level speaker, writer and listener by the IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge assessments, which has allowed me to give private lessons throughout the years by offering translation, checking/editing and summarizing services, both in Italy and the United States.
Because of this, I chose to do my entire university education in English, pursuing a three-year degree in Economics and Management at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, which I completed in July 2022, as well as my master’s Degree that I cited above. These experiences have shaped my ability to interpret and understand data-driven assessments, and provided me with the appropriate tools to conduct objective analysis alongside technology and in different contexts, using virtual collaborative work platforms, in an ethical manner, and above all according to green economic models. Given the opportunity, I am confident that my academic and professional skills make me a competitive candidate.
I am an efficient goal-oriented person, punctual, with excellent organizational skills and I give 100% of me to the jobs I am assigned.
In addition to being diligent, I am also creative, love sports (I played soccer and volleyball for a couple of years each, and was a member of a swim team and artistic gymnastics team for 5 years each), am a big fan of music and movies, have taken art classes for two consecutive years, and my room is wallpapered with drawings that I have been doing since before I could walk. In addition, I love reading and documenting my adventures on paper and with the Kodak my mother gave me during the pandemic.
