Marta Martínez Penas

To whom it may concern,

My name is Marta Martínez Penas, and I am a 26 years old Spanish woman who currently lives in Molfetta, Bari. I am doing a volunteering as an English support teacher at a high school. I have a Degree in English Language and Literature and Italian Language and Literature. Since my passion has always been languages, I would love to share it with all students that feel the same (or not yet).

When it comes to my experience, I have been teaching English in two language schools. My role in the first one was to be a support teacher, explaining grammar to small groups of secondary education students and then putting it into practice with exercises or games. Additionally, I did a couple of substitutions when necessary in that same place, mostly paying attention to the preparation of the official Cambridge exams (B1-C1).
The other language school (where I worked from March 2022 to June 2022) was a bit different. There were more groups, with students from 10 to 18 years old, and they needed extra help with the subject,.
Another experience I had with kids was a few months ago, when I was working as an aupair for three months (October 2021 – December 2021) in Verona, Italy. My job was basically taking care of two children, 3 and 7 years old, while trying to teach them English.
