Melese Temesgen Salilih

My name is Melese Salilih.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Physics, a Master's degree in Geophysics, and a PhD in Seismology/Geophysics. I have more than five years of experience teaching and tutoring physics and mathematics to high school and college students. Over the years, I have worked with learners of different levels, from those struggling with the basics to those preparing for advanced exams or university studies in scientific fields.

Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy. My approach focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step reasoning, and building intuition, not memorization. I believe that every student can understand physics and mathematics when the concepts are presented in a simple, structured, and personalized way. Many of my students have gained confidence, improved their grades significantly, and even developed a real appreciation for science—a transformation that I find deeply rewarding.

In my lessons, I adapt the pace and style to each student’s needs. I start by identifying strengths, weaknesses, and goals, then design a personalized study plan. I provide guided problem-solving practice, exam preparation strategies, and help with homework, tests, and coursework.
