I use the mixed-method approach to piano lessons - we choose books that work best for you, or pick individual songs that you like if you are at a level where you are comfortable with that. I try to teach a mixture of styles so your skills become well-rounded, and I make sure you understand the content by the end of the lesson so your practice between lessons is fun and easy.

How it works online: You and I both log into Zoom on two devices. One device can be a computer or tablet so we can see each other’s faces, the other device is best if it is a phone attached to a phone holder that is situated so the camera is overlooking the keyboard (I use a gooseneck phone holder that is about €10 from Amazon and attach it to a tall lamp next to the piano). This way, we can both see each other’s faces as well as each other’s hands and keyboards. I will spend extra time with you in the first lessons to accommodate for setup and troubleshooting, and/or we can plan a free trial meeting where I can explain this further. After the setup is established, we will arrange to have the same books and materials so we can follow along with each other without issue. I started teaching lessons in this style online during Covid and every student at the time continued - some preferred it over in-person lessons and I still teach them in this way today!
