Ms. Tosin Akinsulu

I am an experienced and dedicated Maths and Science tutor with experience teaching students across different age groups and academic levels. I teach both the Nigerian and British curricula, including KS1 to KS4, IGCSE, GCSE, A Levels, SATs, 11 Plus and other examination preparation.

My lessons are student centred, interactive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs. I understand that students learn differently, so I take time to identify areas of strength and weakness before developing lessons that suit the student’s pace and learning style.

I believe that effective teaching goes beyond simply giving students information. My goal is to help students understand concepts deeply, develop confidence and learn how to apply their knowledge independently. I break difficult topics into simple, clear explanations and use practical examples, diagrams, questioning, discussions and problem solving to make lessons engaging and easier to understand.

For students preparing for examinations, I combine strong subject knowledge with focused examination practice. We work through past questions, identify common mistakes, improve answering techniques and develop the confidence needed to approach examinations effectively.

I also pay close attention to learning gaps. If a student struggles with a current topic because of an earlier concept they have not fully understood, I am happy to revisit that foundation before moving forward.
