I am writing to express my sincere interest in your esteemed Department. I am a graduate of the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. My research project is "Effect of Alien Fishes on Economically Important Native Freshwater Fish Fauna of Punjab, Pakistan". To date, I have evaluated the distribution pattern, feeding competition (through gut content analysis), trophic niche overlap (through stable isotope analysis), and inter- & intra-population variation (through Morpho craniometric analysis). I aim to pursue a further translation career to understand the molecular pathways that play a pivotal role in the evolution of fish under the influence of climate change, utilizing Stable Isotope Analysis (SIA) techniques. I also have some pioneering investigations regarding the exotic and indigenous fish fauna of Pakistan, which serve as reference data (in the process of publication). I believe it will be a great opportunity for me to start my career with this department. I want to continue my contribution, and your welcome will be a great chance for me to learn, enhance my research aptitude, and flourish in the field. I am a self-motivated, independent researcher with 12 years of research and 11 years of teaching experience in the field of animal physiology, antibiotic sensitivity, fish ecology, and their evolution (particularly animal handling belonging to different taxa).
