Naomi

I am an experienced English language teacher, teacher trainer, and academic leader.

I have almost 20 years’ experience teaching children under 18, including young learners, in an almost entirely non-native speaking context. In addition, I have extensive experience teaching adult learners across CEFR levels A2–C2, with a preference of B1–C2, developing confidence, accuracy, and practical use of English for academic, professional, and real-world purposes.

I have completed the Cambridge DELTA qualification. This has strengthened my expertise in language systems, skills-based instruction, assessment, and reflective practice, and further developed my interest in mentoring teachers and supporting high-quality learning across programmes.

Professional development is a core part of my work; I regularly design and lead workshops on classroom practice, assessment strategies, learner skills, and reflective teaching. I strongly value student-centred learning and aim to create classrooms where learners take ownership of their progress, feel confident experimenting with language, and engage actively in the learning process.

My lessons are interactive and tailored made, to ensure they are practical and useful. I ensure that learners are involved in the deciding the way they want to learn.
