It's important that students enjoys the lessons and can see that they are improving so that they keep motivated and can reach their objective. I understand the challenges non-native English students have when it comes to effective communication—whether it’s simple conversation, for travelling or business for meetings or building business relationships overseas.
Try to create lessons around what the student needs to reach his/her objectives.
The most important thing is that they enjoy the lessons while learning.
Also for English/American/Australians/Irish coming to Italy for a holiday or working holiday can help with general/travel and business conversation lessons as I understand their difficulty with the Italian language (being bilingual and mother-tongue).
