Nestore Mastromatteo

I am a mother-tongue, qualified EFL teacher, born and raised in Los Angeles. I have
been living in Italy for four years and I am fluent in Italian. I have a unique teaching
method which I have developed over the years and which is based on a modern
understanding of the brain and the apprehension of language-- an effective,
scientific, and real approach to teaching languages. I am passionate about my
teaching and I am constantly searching for new students and projects.

October 2024 - Present English Teacher, Lord Byron College, Bari
- I am currently teaching students ranging from elementary to advanced, of many
different ages. My teaching in this historical, private school of English and Cambridge
Test Center is always focused on the aims of the students I am presented with,
whether it means studying grammar and the basics, or reading longer texts and
engaging in discussion on various topics of interest.
January 2023 - May 2023 English Teacher, British Institutes, Naples
- I guided students in one-on-one courses through “Business English” books and
prepared students for the TOEFL exam. My students in this period were of various
levels and many different ages.
January 2023 - Present Private English Teacher
- I teach students privately from home wherever I can find them- it has been a
wonderful way to continue teaching all over Italy. In Naples I gave lessons to
university students who seeked to improve their conversational English, and in Bari I
am currently teaching from home as well.
