Hello,
I have completed my B.A & M.A in English, P.G Diploma in Mass Communication followed by Bachelor’s in Education (which is an equivalent teaching certification).
Currently I work as a High School English teacher & Instructional Solutions Designer in an international IGCSE (CAIE) school in Myanmar.
I worked as a Mid-senior level Instructional Designer and experienced as a Curriculum Planner (English). I worked as a High School / Upper Primary & Primary (English) Teacher in various schools in India (IGCSE, State Board and CBSE) and as a Primary Coordinator for 5 years. I handled a team of more than thirty members. I am often described as a solution seeker, patient listener and team player.

Initially I started my career as a Journalist and eventually as an Editor for 3 years. I have worked in various B2B magazines in Kolkata & Delhi, India.

To me, education is a hand-holding procedure where the educators facilitate the learners to enjoy their journey of knowing the unknown. Both the educators and the learners stand in the middle of the learning cycle which develops a holistic learning.

As a teacher I applied Bloom’s Taxonomy, Gardner’s MI and Inquiry Model in my lesson plans to develop the analytical thinking skills and hands on learning. I implemented STEM & STEAM in my daily lesson plans.

I faced the Parent Teacher Meetings as well as the Parent Orientation Programs. I often counseled the students as well as their parents for the holistic growth of one.

I was the Head of English Club which focused on developing the students’ communication skills, presentation skills, inter and intra personal skills and writing skills. These were attained through organizing debates, classroom presentations, group discussions, poem writing, story writing, story- telling, creating travelogue, maintaining journals and etc. I have worked with classes III-XII.

As a Curriculum Planner, I followed the 5E module to enhance the critical & analytical thinking of the students based on calculative risk taking skills. I prepared lesson plans, question banks, engaging PPTs, Teacher Resource Materials, Student Resource Materials and etc.
I wish to up-skill my expertise and experience both professionally and personally. I believe in constant learning. My exposure in different genres vouches for my multi tasking ability and willingness to learn more.
