Holding a Bachelor of Education (Arts) — Second Class Upper Division — from Moi University (2017) and currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Comparative Literature at Kaimosi Friends University, I bring both academic rigour and a deep love of language to every teaching engagement.
My teaching career has taken me through Chavakali High School (2018–2020), Precious School Kapsambo (2021–2023) — where I served as Head of Subject, English — and currently Riondong'a High School, where I hold the position of Head of Department, Languages. In these roles I have designed and delivered comprehensive curricula aligned with the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) syllabus, mentored student writers, and led colleagues in curriculum development and assessment planning.
As a Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Paper 3 examiner, I possess an exceptional command of examination standards and marking criteria. This experience has sharpened my ability to identify learning gaps quickly, give precise feedback, and help students master the analytical and creative writing skills that examiners reward. In an online tutoring setting, I intend to leverage this insider knowledge to accelerate student progress in comprehension, composition, oral literature, and set texts.
I am highly adaptable to digital learning environments and comfortable using video-conferencing tools, shared documents, and learning management systems to create engaging, student-centred lessons. My approach combines structured instruction with Socratic questioning and guided practice, ensuring learners do not just memorize content but genuinely understand and enjoy it.
