My name is Silvia, a TEFL certified English Teacher with an international background.
I got my license as a professional English Teacher in 2019 but I've been teaching English for over 10 years in Italy and Spain. I've always been very passionate about the English language and about teaching.

I taught group and one to one classes of levels A1-C1 at the School Wall Street English in Reggio Emilia, Italy. I taught English classes to Spanish speakers at two different Language Academies in Valencia, Spain and since 2019 I've been teaching English online via the platforms Letuelezioni and Tusclasesparticulares. On these websites you can find the reviews of my students on my lessons.

I like to have a dynamic approach to the lessons to ensure the students' engagement and active participation. I create the lesson plans which cover the four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and prepare hands-on activities. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to enjoy what we're doing.
What makes my teaching method unique is that during the lesson we will be speaking English only. This means, whenever the student does not know a word, they'll have to find a way to express what they want to say or explain the meaning of the word in English. This allows the students to improve their vocabulary in a natural way and to become fluent in a very short amount of time. Furthermore, my teaching method allows me to teach English to students of different nationalities and languages because I will not assign translation exercises but rather speaking exercises, which will enable the student to think in English.

I keep on improving my teaching skills and I'm currently taking a CELTA Course.

My dream job is to be a full-time teacher. Witnessing the students' progress and academic success brings me joy and seeing them become more and more confident with their English gratifies me deeply.

I am currently based in Rubiera, Reggio Emilia and am currently doing the lessons via Skype. I am open to work and willing to relocate for the right opportunity.

Silvia è la migliore insegnante di inglese che potessi trovare. Parla inglese fluentemente e ha una conoscenza completa della cultura inglese. Le lezioni sono piacevoli e strutturate. È un’insegnante molto professionale, puntuale e precisa. In poco tempo ho migliorato il mio livello di inglese. Non vedo l’ora di fare la prossima lezione!!

Molto positiva l’esperienza con Silvia. L’anno scorso ha aiutato mia figlia a recuperare il debito che aveva in inglese e tedesco e a passare l’anno. Abbiamo proseguito le lezioni con lei e siamo passate da una media del 5 a una media del 7,5 in tedesco e dell’8 in inglese. Un aiuto prezioso. Soddisfatissima. Consigliata al 100%

Silvia es una profesora muy implicada en su trabajo, muy empática y con una gran capacidad para detectar tus carencias y orientarte en la dirección correcta. Tener clases con ella me ha servido mucho para lograr fluidez al hablar y sacarme la timidez. Personalmente estoy notando el avance y la recomiendo mucho!
