I was born into a family that spoke a potpourri of languages and English was the most important element of the medley, however being born into an English speaking family does not imply that a person can teach as well--- because teaching English or any other language entails professional competence, loads of empathy and a burning desire- in a tutor, to refine his or her teaching skills.
I have been teaching English online since 2013 and am addicted to it. I love teaching one on one because it not only gives me the opportunity to evaluate and analyze my student's language goals, but it is immensely therapeutic. Once I am successful in absorbing the learning objectives of my student, I structure the lessons in a manner that can help my student advance towards his or her goals.
Every student is different, some students prefer organic learning and they do not like technical aspects of the language, for example, syntax and grammar, others want to focus on a structured approach, they want to learn spoken and written English along with grammar and vocabulary, I cater and adapt to both groups, however, as an honest tutor I inform them about their inconsistencies and motivate them to work on them.
I use a blend of teaching methodologies:
1) Direct Method
2) Task Based Learning
3) The Callan Method
4) Audio and Video Based Learning
Thanks for reading my bio, presently I have Slovak and Czech students but I invite Italian students to join!
