Hi, my name is Valeriia Popova, and I’m an English teacher with a strong passion for languages, literature, and education. Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved learning new languages and reading books, so choosing a career that combines both was a natural decision for me.
I’ve been teaching English as a foreign language since 2019, working with students from diverse backgrounds, different age groups, and various proficiency levels. My teaching experience includes private language schools, one-on-one and group lessons, public school internships, summer language camps, and even conducting workshops for my university peers.
In addition to teaching, I’ve also worked in monitoring the quality of education at Ukrainian universities, which gave me valuable insight into the broader field of education. Right now, I’m in the final months of completing my master’s degree in English Studies at the University of Padua. While my bachelor’s degree primarily focused on language teaching, my master’s studies have allowed me to dive deeper into Anglophone literature from different periods, broadening my academic perspective while still maintaining my focus on English language education.
I truly believe that learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary—it’s about communication, culture, and confidence. My goal as a teacher is to make learning English an enjoyable and enriching experience for my students, helping them unlock new opportunities in life.
