I am an English Language and Science instructor with over a decade of experience teaching students of various ages and backgrounds both online and in a classroom. I bring a confident, engaging, and culturally responsive teaching style that has been honed by years of work with students from multiple countries such as Poland, China, Japan, Taiwan and Trinidad and Tobago, my native country.

My background includes formal qualifications such as a Postgraduate Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a BSc. in Physics, along with recent completion of a MSc. in Integrated Climate System Sciences at the University of Hamburg. Over the years, I’ve taught in structured environments like Shane English School in Tokyo and through dynamic online platforms like DaDa and Fluentbe, where I delivered customized lessons to learners ranging from young children to business professionals. Additionally, I worked at the University of the West Indies for 4 years as a physics demonstrator. During this time I supplemented my work with private group class instruction.

With regard to teaching the English language, I specialize in creating interactive, student-centered classes with a focus on communication and real-world language use. I bring proven skills in online and in-person instruction, lesson customization and learner engagement. Having two science degrees and working on a third degree, gives me a broad perspective of the natural sciences enables me to support my students in the field, particularly in physics.
