Yaqeen Al Obaidi

Hello! My name is Yaqeen. I’m a pharmacist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Advanced Cosmetic Science in Italy. Alongside my academic journey, I’ve always enjoyed teaching and working with children.

I previously taught children at a summer school in my home country, where I learned how to keep young learners engaged and comfortable in the classroom. I also volunteered online with Happiness Volunteers, teaching English to children from around the world through storytelling. That experience showed me how powerful stories can be in helping children learn new words, express their ideas, and enjoy speaking English.

My lessons are designed especially for children who already know a little English but need more opportunities to practice speaking. I believe children build confidence when they can use English naturally, without worrying too much about making mistakes.

During our lessons, we might read short stories, talk about the characters, discuss everyday situations, play simple word games, or chat about topics your child enjoys. I’ll gently help with pronunciation, vocabulary, and sentence-building as we go, rather than interrupting every time a mistake happens.

Every child learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to their age, interests, and level. My aim is to create a patient, encouraging environment where children feel heard and excited to participate, while respecting their individual pace.

Most importantly, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling a little more confident and willing to speak English in everyday life. Learning should feel like an enjoyable conversation, not another difficult task.
