Hi there, I'm Lisa. I am a native English speaker (BrE British accent) and have worked with individuals, businesses and organisations for over 20 years to create and deliver English language courses, professional communication skills programmes and assessments. I speak Italian well enough to communicate with Italian students.

I provide Business English courses and a range of specialised training courses for groups of professionals in the Energy and Finance sectors who wish to improve their language skills in the workplace and integrate into the foreign market. Apart from specialising in Business English to professionals, I have trained thousands of students for CAE, CPE, FCE, IELTS, Linguaskill courses over the 24 years of my teaching career.

I specialise in semantics and phonetics but have a profound interest in pragmatics. Throughout my 24 years as a Business English tutor in the EFL industry, I have upped my game in the areas of presentation techniques, public speaking and technical writing.

Because I understand the importance of teaching for niche industries, there's nothing that gives me more pleasure than tailor-making a course designed to suit the individual requirements of my clients. I can take on a challenge and am a self-professed phonetics and grammar geek. Political and ethical discourse plays an important role in good reporting, and having a background in Communications and Sociology, I believe educators have a duty to take a truthful stance as opposed to one of neutrality. I would describe my course content as deeply engaging and mindful. My students are happiest when given their weekly progress updates!
