ABOUT ME

Italian native speaker with a bachelor degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures.

I am currently working as a Corporate Italian Trainer for a multinational corporation, while writing my master's degree dissertation in Italian Studies, European Literary Cultures and Linguistics on the topic of embodied cognition approaches to foreign language teaching and learning.

I am a very curious, caring and open-minded person, and I like to learn from my students while I teach. I like to learn about their interests and cultures as their language level progresses, while also sharing my personal knowledge :)

I like to dive into any given topic! My studies gave me a good insight into humanities and art, but I am interested about virtually everything there is to learn out there!


ABOUT THE SESSION

The structure of the lesson depends on the needs and objectives of the learner. We might start from introductions and chat about your occupation and interests and why you want to learn Italian.

From there, we can keep it conversational and focus on your personal interests, sharing insights on Italian culture while diving into grammar and vocabulary as the need arises: grammar serves US, we don't serve IT - that said, a thorough knowledge of grammar can serve us pretty well :)

I always try to personalise the lesson as much as possible, finding content that might be of interest to the learner.

In case of more specific needs, we might do 5 minutes of conversational warm-up and then dive into the needed grammar rule, function or task that has to be performed, while doing controlled exercises at first and then role-plays for real life use.
