Within a career spanning two continents—from the historic centre of Rome to the diverse classrooms of Toronto—I have developed valuable skills in presentation and time management, as well as with a solid understanding of L2 pedagogy, including adult learning challenges such as the affective filter; whether working with young adults, adults, or seniors, I am adept at managing the affective filter, by creating low-stress, high-engagement environments where older learners feel empowered to overcome the psychological barriers often associated with language acquisition. Over the years, I have refined my own teaching methodology, to reach all learners by effectively translating concepts into visual, written, and spoken formats. I take pride in maintaining strong client relationships and expertly organising learning sessions and events. I begin every engagement by assessing a student’s specific goals—be it for work, travel, or academic research—and tailoring my lesson plans to ensure immediate practical application. I have successfully coached business professionals in Canada and Italy, focusing on situational language needs. For these clients, I prioritise "high-value" communication—negotiation, professional correspondence, and networking—with a balance between grammatical accuracy and executive confidence.
