Aimee Mathew

I am a recent PhD graduate in Cell and Developmental Biology from Sapienza University of Rome. I would love to pursue a career in academics since I am passionate about teaching. I would like to consider this teaching as a training for me to succeed in my career. Since I have an advanced degree in Biology, I am very strong in Science and Mathematics. I would like to mention that I can tutor for all branches of Biology and Biotechnology really well that they, for sure, will fall in love with Biology. I am particularly strong with calculations and can help students who are struggling with middle school, high school and university level portions. Regarding English language, I am a native speaker, and therefore, can teach English language really well.
My teaching methods will be based on the level of support they require. If given a problem to solve, I would give them the think to think first and tackle and solve the problem on their own. If unable to do so, then I would help them. I believe that every student is different and the teaching techniques might differ among students. I have the patience to teach until the student completely understands the concept, no matter how much time it takes. It is also important to change and experiment on different teaching styles and understand which teaching style suits the student. I can also help the student with their assignments and projects.
Altogether, I believe that I am best suited for this role, since I am passionate about teaching and I can offer the students education to the best of my abilities.
