In the United States of Ameria, English is only one of dozens of languages commonly spoken. Although some people may think English is the primary language of the USA, it isn't, and we have a lot of English-learners here. For anyone interested in traveling to the USA, English is an extremely important skill. English is everywhere, from road signs to restaurant menus. It can seem daunting at first to try to learn English, but learning from a native English speaker can make it easier.

My lessons focus on practical aspects of communication, specifically why, how, and when to use certain words or phrases. Grammar is important, but it's imperative to learn how it works than just to memorize it. I generally don't encourage students to just memorize vocabulary lists, since it is better to practice vocabulary in context. Lessons with me are like a conversation: we get to know each other, and we address your specific needs instead of following a pre-made syllabus. We can study as slowly or as quickly as you need.

I have ten years of experience studying foreign languages, so I know how hard it can be. In all, I speak English and French, with basic Japanese and rudimentary Spanish. I want to help streamline the language-learning process for you. English is a tough language, but a patient, knowledgeable tutor can help make it easier.
