Hello everyone!

I am Martina and I hold a degree in English and Spanish Linguistics and have experience teaching English to learners of all ages and proficiency levels. Working with diverse groups of students has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching to different learning styles, creating an inclusive and supportive classroom where every student feels encouraged to participate and progress.

My teaching philosophy places the student at the centre of the learning process. I strongly value collaborative and communicative learning, where students actively engage with the language through meaningful tasks and authentic communication. I particularly enjoy developing project-based learning activities that connect with students' interests and age, helping them see English as a living language that can be used naturally both inside and outside the classroom.

Alongside communicative competence, I believe it is essential for students to develop a solid understanding of language structure and accurate pronunciation. For this reason, I integrate grammar and phonetics into communicative lessons, enabling students to gain confidence while building both fluency and accuracy.

Completing the CELTA course marked an important stage in my professional development. It reshaped my understanding of effective language teaching by highlighting the value of guided discovery and deductive learning. I have witnessed how allowing students to observe, analyse, and discover language patterns for themselves promotes deeper understanding, critical thinking, and greater learner autonomy.
