Petra Hegedüšová

I am an enthusiastic and creative teacher who is passionate about education and about the well-being of students. I am CELTA certified. I have taught English at ages from kindergarten to high school as well as tutoring adults privately. I am cheerful, energetic, emphatic, creative, and supportive. I believe that trust, a friendly approach, and a safe environment are the most important features for learning. Everyone has the potential to learn whatever they want. I love to motivate my students, just as they motivate and inspire me. Also, I have various experiences in childcare, families, preschool, and school. During my working experience, I have worked in international teams, I have planned lessons, designed materials, organized school events, and events for parents.

Recently, I terminated my employment at a private democratic school in Prague (ScioŠkola Praha 9), where I worked for over two years. I was the primary teacher of classes 2 + 3. I was teaching English, Czech, and did some project teaching with pupils aged 5-14 years. Moreover, I was designing teaching materials and leading school trips and events. The school is about democratic cooperation with pupils and the team. The motto of the school is "change is a permanent state" and I believe that change is an opportunity to learn new things and get new abilities. However, my fiancé got a job here in Milan and I decided to join him. So I'm trying to live up to the motto and get back on the education field.

Nevertheless, this is not the only experience with teaching I have. I was working in a private bilingual Czech-English kindergarten in Prague, where I was in charge of the Ladybirds group, the youngest children aged 2-4 years. Since it was a private organization, my creativity was not limited and it gave me the chance to design monthly programs on various topics and activities. Due to my care children have learned basic habits, expanded their vocabulary in both languages, and enjoyed their kindergarten experience, and so did I.

Also, I was an Aupair in Ireland and Germany and worked as an entertainer in a Kids Club in Croatia.

I am holding a master’s degree in Educational Management and Leadership from the University of Nottingham. During my studies, I have learned a lot about the world's educational systems, met teachers and school directors from different parts of the world, and extended my knowledge of other cultures. In my opinion, people should learn to respect the beautiful diversity of cultures and people. In addition, I attended a monthly intensive course and received a CELTA certificate that allows me to teach English as a second language.

I can offer you my theoretical knowledge, practical experience, motivation, creativity, team spirit, enthusiasm, and positive energy. I would like to do a meaningful job that would make me happy and which is more like a mission than a job.
