Hello and welcome!
My name is Rafael — I'm really glad you're here.
I’m a graduate of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Patras, which is known as the most rigorous and competitive math program in Greece. My education there provided me not only with strong mathematical knowledge, but also with the ability to approach complex problems with clarity and creativity — skills I bring into every tutoring session.
My teaching journey began more than six years ago, initially helping fellow university students. Since then, I’ve worked with a wide variety of learners:
?? High school students preparing for exams or needing extra support
?? University students tackling challenging courses
?? Adults who use math in their professional lives or want to strengthen their skills for personal growth
Each student is unique, and I always adapt my teaching style to their specific needs, whether it's understanding a difficult concept, building study confidence, or preparing for a test.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I moved all my lessons online. It was a turning point — I invested in a modern camera and a large teaching board to ensure my students could follow every explanation clearly. This setup, combined with an interactive and supportive approach, made my online classes just as effective (and often more comfortable) than traditional in-person sessions.
As for communication, you can feel confident — my English is strong. I recently took the IELTS exam, achieving a 6.5 overall, with a 7.5 in speaking. That means you can expect a smooth, easygoing exchange of ideas in our lessons.
Math doesn’t have to be scary or boring. I aim to make it understandable, relatable, and even enjoyable. Whether you're reviewing algebra, diving into calculus, or just need someone to explain a concept step by step — I’m here to help.
Thanks a lot for reading, and I hope to see you in class soon!
Let’s solve math together.
