Ruby Sweetland

I have experience working as an ESL teacher in a dynamic range of circumstances. I have taught students that range from rural Vietnamese children, to refugees, to adults taught via an online platform across the world, to school students here in Firenze.

For my lessons, I will combine all the practical elements required for exams with extra activities designed to make learning fun. For younger learners, many of my lessons would involve music, arts and craft and other creative activities. I believe it is essential to enjoy learning in life, and that comes from having enjoyable lessons filled with things that interest you.

I have experience teaching students with additional needs and working at different paces to suit each individual. For some this means high intensity exam prep; for others it means a more casual approach to learning. Whatever your goals are, we will work together to achieve them in a way that works for you.
