I have a BA in American culture and literature with the teaching certificate. I also had the opportunity to take a 480 hour advanced English language instructor course in the United States and received the diploma for that course. Most of my experience is with young adults and adults including general English from beginner level to the advanced and also I’m specialised in flight terminology and international flight English. Currently, I am residing in Rome carying out my doctoral research on Italian American immigrant community. I prefer face-to-face academic English classes supported with literature and culture of the target language.
I am interested in cultural studies and history. That's the reason why I believe a target language can not be learned without the culture of that target language. According to the methodological bacground I have acquired during my experience as a teacher and the trainings I have had, I prefer to apply four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) into my teaching skills.
Whatsmore, I want to share with my students the fun side of knowing a new language by using 21st century skills and computer applications.
My classes are interactive rather than a teacher oriented experience. I believe languages can not be learned but acquired with an experienced guide (teacher) who knows the way to guide the students to internalize the four skills in the target language.
