An example lesson plan -

Morning Routine Verbs Flashcards & Listening Activity

The teacher will present the morning routine verbs to the students by using flashcards with pictures of common things that happen in the morning. Ex. “Wake Up” “Brush Teeth”. The teacher will present each flashcard to the students and then ask the students “What am I doing?” The teacher will mime and mimic a simple task “Brush my hair”. The teacher will ask the students the answer and pronounce the tasks while they are presenting the verbs. The teacher will then present a 45 sec video so that students can listen to a morning routine. (resource: you tube) The teacher will then highlight the tense + form to the students in the video and write the complete sentences on the board. (Ex. “I wake up at 8:00 every day” “I ride my bicycle to the park”, “I love mornings”.)
