Ciao Giovanna, il reported speech è il discorso indiretto, cioè’ quando riferisci quanto è stato detto da un’altra persona, e può essere sia in forma interrogativa, negativa o affermativa. Example: Did she say when she will be back home? Ha detto quando tornerà a casa? They told me that the store is closed. Mi hanno detto che il negozio è chiuso. Il reported speech é il discorso indiretto, quando vuoi riportare i discorsi fatti da altri ed ogni tempo verbale dal discorso diretto a discorso indiretto subisce una trasformazione . Per i tempi del presente ad esempio : “ I watch tv everyday” Maria said( direct)diventa Maria said she watched tv everyday( indirect) Tempi del passato “ I watched tv after lunch yesterday” Maria told me ( direct) diventa Maria told me she had watched tv after lunch the day before “.
