Quali sono i numeri ordinali in inglese?

Ciao Lucia! La regola generale è che i numeri ordinali in inglese si formano aggiungendo th. Ci sono però delle eccezioni: ad esempio first (primo), second (secondo), third (terzo) fifth (quinto), ninth (nono, la e finale viene eliminata), twelfth (dodicesimo). Da tredicesimo a diciannovesimo sono regolari, ovvero aggiungono semplicemente th (thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth etc...). Le decine terminanti in -y (twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty e ninety) mutano la -y i I e aggiungo th, così da avere twentieth, thirtieth, fortieth...). Per dire quarantunesimo, cinquantaduesimo o ottantatreesimo devi ricordare che primp, secondo e terzo sono irregolari.
