Elena Pshenitsyna

My classes are friendly, practical, and fully in English, with a strong focus on real-life communication. I believe in making students feel comfortable and confident, using lots of examples and real-time situations that reflect everyday language use. I hold a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and have taught students aged 4 to 60 across Europe and Asia, giving me a strong foundation in multicultural competence and flexibility.

I mainly use a lexical approach, helping students expand their vocabulary naturally through context and frequent exposure, which leads to improved fluency. My lessons are student-centered and designed around each learner’s goals, whether it's everyday conversation, exam preparation, or professional English. I’ve successfully prepared students for Cambridge English exams up to B2 level.

A key part of my methodology is free speech practice—creating space in each lesson for students to speak spontaneously, develop confidence, and use language creatively. I also draw on my knowledge of developmental and educational psychology, adapting my teaching to the cognitive and emotional needs of different age groups. This allows me to teach not just effectively, but empathetically.

I have hands-on experience working with students with ADHD and those on the autism spectrum, providing lessons that are well-structured, supportive, and inclusive. I use clear routines, visual aids, and positive reinforcement to ensure all students feel engaged and capable.
