Why is Important to Learn Modern Standard Arabic?

Actually, there are many Arabic dialects that have borrowed, and are still borrowing their words from Arabic language, and from other foreign languages, like for instance in the African continent, there are Moroccan Darija, Algerian dialect, Tunisian dialect, Egyptian dialect, and in the Middle East there are for instance, Lebanese dialect, Syrian dialect, etc.

All of these dialects are widely called Arabic dialects in many countries. However, it is commonly known that dialects that are spoken in the North of Africa like Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, and Mauritania differ from those Arabic dialects that are spoken in the east, like for example in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, etc. 

Furthermore, it is argued by many linguists and researchers that Arabic dialects do not represent classical Arabic, and they have admitted that those Arabic dialects contain words and grammar structure that are rooted in the ancient languages. To go further, North African dialects are dialects that are mixed with Tamazight language (is a North African indigenous language), French, Spanish, and Arabic languages.

Arabic dialects have always been changing, and they have been influenced by other foreign languages in those countries; we can notice that many foreign words are embedded in those Arabic dialects, because they were exposed to daily communication. Another point, is that it is difficult for people from the Middle East to communicate with or to understand people from North Africa.

Eventually, Arabic dialects are exposed to everyday changes, and they are influenced by other languages. Therefore, learning Modern standard Arabic is considered to be more effective, and useful for students to have an accurate grammar structure, and eloquence in Arabic.
